Matt Bridge: Centre Manager
Qualifications: RYA Senior Instructor, RYA Powerboating Instructor
Matt started sailing in the very harbour from which he now works. At 18, keen to share his knowledge with others, Matt became an instructor and worked in the Mediterranean for the activity holiday specialists Neilson. He continued to work summers for Neilson while studying towards a Sports Science Degree in Cardiff. After receiving a 2:1 honours degree in 2005, Matt returned to his hometown to work for the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. With the creation of SailLaser in 2006, Matt became our Centre Manager.

Dawn Delpech: Client Services Executive
Qualifications: Degree in Sport and Exercise Science
From a very young age Dawn was always active and had a passion for sports. These interests led her to gaining a 2:1 honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science in Cardiff. During this time, she gained experience in coaching and teaching physical education and she recognised its value and importance both physically and socially. Her current position at SailLaser suits both her personality and skills as it incorporates her sporting interests with her love for meeting new people. Dawn makes it her personal aim to ensure each and every client has the best possible experience with SailLaser from start to finish

Emma Dawson: Chief Instructor
Qualifications: RYA Senior and Advanced Instructor, RYA Powerboat Instructor, RYA Planing Windsurf Instructor.
Emma has a real passion for being on the water and has been teaching sailing and windsurfing both in the UK and abroad, since she was 18. Emma progressed quickly from a Dinghy Instructor role to managing sailing centres. When she was working at Rockley Watersports, she developed a passion for racing Lasers, and eventually worked her way up to finishing the Fastnet race! Emma has always enjoyed teaching and sailing in LaserPerformance boats. Now, as SailLaser’s Chief Instructor and Community Sports Coach, she teaches people to sail in her favourite boats.

Tom Bowker: Sales Executive
Qualifications: RYA Senior Instructor, Race coach L2, Safetyboat driver
Tom grew up with sailing from a young age, both in dinghies, and on the family yacht. Racing was a strong driving force from virtually the start as Tom progressed through both the Optimist and Laser Radial classes whilst also sailing a 420 with his younger brother. After becoming a Dinghy instructor in 2004 Tom worked for Sunsail before being found by SailLaser Weymouth in 2007. Tom’s strong coaching ability and fantastic knowledge of both our products and the sport meant that on leaving university in 2009 he was offered a full-time position. He now fills the role of Sales Executive, providing support to clubs in the South-West area and coordinating the retail sale of boats and spares. Hannah Burywood: Youth Development Officer
Qualifications: RYA Senior Instructor, Race Club Coach Level 2
After a youth racing 405’s and 29ers Hannah went on to study at Southampton University where she completed a degree in Watersports Studies and Management. Yacht racing became a keen interest culminating in Hannah competing as part of a team in the Student Yachting Worlds. Whilst enjoying the sport for herself Hannah was also honing her instructor and coaching skills, working weekends and holidays at Southampton Water Sports Activity Centre and Leading Oppie coaching at various club in the South of the country. Hannah’s current role utilises her coaching skills but also her fantastic organisational skills to drive forward our regular participation schemes, work closely with the RYA, and give as many children as possible a route into sailing, competing and enjoying our fantastic sport.
