Courses

For most people, part of the fun of sailing is being with a group of like-minded individuals. That's as much the case when you're learning, as when you're a member of a sailing club, so that's how most of our courses are run. We can offer private programmes for you, but most people prefer to learn together - and laugh together - and regardless of the group size, everyone receives individual personalised training from our coaches.

On all our courses, your safety is our first priority. All groups are supported by safety boats, and group leaders are always in radio contact with on-shore staff and safety boats. We follow RYA course guidelines, and offer RYA qualifications with most of our courses. Whatever your skill or achievement level, you will find something to suit you at SailLaser.

All standard courses start at 10am with an hour’s lunch between 1-2pm and then finish at 5pm. These times are subject to change during winter months. On the first day of your course please report to reception. If you are delayed please give us as much warning as possible by ringing reception. At the end of the day children should be picked up in front of the Academy. They will be supervised until your arrival.

RYA certificates will be issued for all students that meet the course requirements. In the case of course requirements not being met, an appropriate action plan will be created to ensure that the student is given the opportunity to earn their certificate.

Seasons
As we are located in an area with seasonal climate, we offer rates that vary with our seasonality. June, July and August is peak season and you will need to book your course early to ensure that we can accommodate you. Peak season rates apply during this period. If you are able to attend during the September - May period, you will find it easier to ensure you can enrol in the course you desire and you will qualify for off-season rates.  Both peak season and off-season rates for each course are listed with the course descriptions.
